Water Meter Replacement Project Underway

The water meters in town have reached the end of their useful life-span. As a result, Princeton Public Utilities has begun a citywide water meter replacement project to replace the old water meter in your home or business. This process will require two representatives of Princeton Public Utilities to enter your residence or business for a short period of time (usually under 30 minutes).

Princeton Public Utility employees will be canvassing door-to-door to gain access to properties. Staff will be wearing Princeton Public Utilities’ clothing, using Princeton Public Utilities’ vehicles, and be able to provide identification upon request. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office at 763-389-2252.

In preparation for the meter change-out, please make the necessary provisions to allow for direct access to the Princeton Public Utility water meter by clearing any obstructions away from the water meter area. If you are typically not at home during the day and need to schedule an appointment, please contact us at 763-389-2252. Representatives of Princeton Public Utilities are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There is NO CHARGE for the replacement of your water meter.

You will receive a written notice when crews are in your area. Thank you for your cooperation with this effort.
